In the grade 12 examination of November 2019, Vryburg High School won the second position in the Dr. Ruth S. Mompati District entered the subject English FirstAdditional Language with an average of 66.9% and a 100% pass rate. The photo shows the current English Dept. of VHS namely: Messrs. Vryburg High School also has the best in the Dr. Ruth Mompati district danger in the subject Mathematical Literacy in the NSC examination (gr12) of November 2019. On January 27, 2017, at the annual Well Done Function the department of Education had the 93 schools in the Dr. Ruth S. Mompati district rewarded for good work during the 2016 Gr.12 exam.
VRYBURG HIGH SCHOOL took home a bag of prizes this year. The school was named the best school in the district as the school had by far the largest matric group that still achieved a 100% pass rate. VRYBURG HIGH SCHOOL is also named the best in terms of quantity as the school has most learners (61 out of 106) who qualify for degree studies. VRYBURG HIGH SCHOOL also achieved most subject distinctions. This year, the 4 out of the first 6 positions in the list of top 10 learners in the district belong to VRYBURG HIGH SCHOOL. Adolph Reyneke (2), Reza Coetzee (3), William Janse van Rensburg (4) and Meyburgh van Heerden (6). This group of learners sounded in each other's necks with averages ranging from 88.6% to 90.7%
Segoje-Floating Trophy
Vryburg High School won the Segoje-Floating Trophy as the best performing school in English First Additional Language in 2016's Grade 12 Final Exam. VHS has won this trophy several times in the past. The matrics of 2016 performed well again and scored no less than 27 distinctions in English.
Motlhabane Trophy
Vryburg High School also won the Motlhabane trophy as the school that performed the best in the district in Mathematics in 2016's Gr.12 final exam. In the 2016 final examination VHS had the highest percentage of learners above 40% in Mathematics in the district, and also had the most subject distinctions in Mathematics (6) as well as the highest average in Mathematics (61.2%).
